Franklin Frog

Rounds: Franklin Frog by Nosy Crow

I love the Nosy Crow Rounds books. They have such wonderfully simple drawings, and the story is so nice and gentle and paced just right for my daughter to follow. The interactive story means she is engaged with the learning and can watch as the frog lays eggs, grows and hatches as a tadpole, and slowly turns into a frog. The absolutely wonderful thing about this story is that it repeats. First, we hear about Franklin the Frog, then we hear about his offspring, Fraser, then finally we hear about Fraser's offspring, Fletcher. The exact same story told 3 times, (or more if you want to keep going!), just with different named characters, gives that extra repetition and reinforcement that children with intellectual disability need.

If you are reluctant to buy this yourself, ask for it as a gift! It's definitely worth it ~ Cas
