All Star - Drew

Parenting is an ever-changing role that is learned on-the-job with no supervisor or instruction manual. Yes, we can read parenting books, and yes, we can get advice from our elders, but nothing really ever prepares us for that moment when the doctor says, "There's a problem with your child." Many doctors could do with some training in "Diagnosis/Prognosis Delivery," but then again, perhaps their negative outlook works as reverse psychology? Read on to find out how Drew defied the doctors and became an all-round All Star!

Drew has HFA (High Functioning Autism). She was born premature and weighed only 2lbs 4oz. She spent 3 months in the NICU fighting for her life. We were told she may not catch up to her peers but she is now a very intelligent and active almost 8 year old and just touches the life of everyone she meets. She has overcome her health issues and a lot of sensory issues, and is now an awesome player for our local Miracle League baseball team! She is an inspiration to everyone she meets! Love her!

Thanks so much for sharing. We love her too! ~ Cas
