A Cautionary Tale is an interactive book that's based on an Australian animated short, starring Cate Blanchett. The book tells a tale about a girl who is born with a tail and features such important themes as being different, bullying and self-acceptance.

The story is written around a girl who learns to deal with these important issues "And so it was she grew to hate, That part she used to celebrate, And over time her pride and joy became something she would destroy."
An important theme in the story is that of bullying, which allows you to talk to your children about how others feel or how they would feel if they were in that situation. Teaching empathy and learning to accept others for their differences are discussions we need to have with our children. If we could only all accept each other for who we are and not what we expect others to be, the world would be a greater place for our children! Empathy is an important lesson that needs to be taught.
