Lego Donations for Autism

Though most kids probably think that there is no such thing as too many Legos in the house, parents may have other opinions.  If you have any new or used Legos you would like to donate to a good cause, Pleygo has teamed up with Generation Rescue to support children with Autism.

Pleygo is hosting its first ever Holiday Brick Drive, where anyone can donate Legos they no longer want. The Legos will be sanitized and distributed to sites and doctor offices working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The deadline for donations is Dec 13, 2013.

Legos are more than just a toy for many children on the Autism Spectrum. If you are not aware of how Legos can be used for therapy, check out Leslie's post on Lego Therapy for children with special needs.

For more information as well as instructions to donate, visit www.pleygo.com/donate

If you're child loves Legos as much as mine do, make sure to check out our reviews of some great Lego apps:

Rachel H. loves playing Legos with her kids. Building and pulling apart the Legos has really helped improve her son's fine motor skills.
