To Love is to Accept

My son hit sensory overload yesterday and had a few impressive meltdowns through the day. As I was getting him ready for bed, a little earlier than normal, he asked me, "Mommy, do you love me?"  I replied, "I love you always and forever."

Even in the midst of a meltdown, fighting on the way to therapy, or after breaking up fights with his sister, I love my kids. I accept them exactly how they are, right here and now. It may not always be easy, but it is worth it.

Whether it is spoken, through actions or with hugs, how do you make sure you show you love and accept others?

Rachel H's son was having a bad day when that picture was taken. Her dog curled up around her son making sure he felt loved.
