Good Free App of the Day - Sushi Monster!

Feed the monster his sushi as fast as you can by making math equations work. If you are working on addition or multiplication, the FREE version of Scholastic's Sushi Monster! would be a perfect addition to your app library. For many children, learning to add and multiply can become extremely routine and monotonous. Sushi Monster! challenges the player to complete equations in a different way. The Monster chef wears the answer on his tags as sushi foods rotate around on the belt with possible answers. The player drags the answers to feed the monster. I really liked that the expected process of mathematics equations had to be reversed in this app.

The purpose of the app is to complete mathematical equations. The quicker the equations are completed, the higher score that is achieved. Sushi Monster! requires the player to think in almost a reverse way. For a lot of people with special learning styles, mathematical equations can become very routine. Instead of understanding how the number 100 is achieved, most will often only know that 50 + 50 = 100. Sushi Monster! requires the player to understand what makes up a bigger number both in addition and multiplication equations.

There is a lot of good teaching levels available in the free app. Players get three chances before they are stopped in any given level, but they can continuously retry levels and try to earn different trophies. There is some strategy involved too, as you want to make sure you will be able to construct all the numbers put up at the sushi counter. If you don't plan ahead, you may be left unable to construct the required numbers.

Sushi Monster! has adorable and colorful graphics, the monsters are fun and friendly looking and you really want to make sure they get their sushi. This app can be played time and time again as new levels are achieved and new trophies are won.
