Good Free App of the Day: Chuggington: Be Safe! teaches kids transportation safety

Chuggington: Be Safe! is a safety app by Ludorum and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to help teach children about safety while traveling. After taking the safety pledge, children will get to roll around the tracks answering important safety quizzes on their way to earn a badge. Kids will also get to color pictures of their favorite trainees and watch videos about the importance of being safe.

Wilson, Koko and Brewster are characters familiar to preschool aged children from the popular show Chuggington. These train-tastic friends teach children the importance of buckling up and using a safety seat, as well as other safe ways to travel.

From iTunes:
'Think Safe, Ride Safe, Be Safe!' is a new public service program that aims to provide child transportation safety guidance to families with young children. The program is brought to you by The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and Ludorum, the producers of the Chuggington™ television series.

Understanding that young children learn best when engaged, Chuggington and NHTSA have partnered to create compelling traffic safety content that delivers important lessons to kids preschool-aged to 3rd grade, all hosted by the ‘trainees’ of Chuggington - Wilson, Koko and Brewster! Lessons focus on four main areas: pedestrian, bus, bike and car seat safety.

'Chuggington:  Be Safe!' app includes an interactive Chuggington traffic safety pledge, a traffic safety game, coloring activity and more. To unlock all of these app features, the user must first become a Safety Trainee by completing the interactive traffic safety pledge!

Rachel H is exhausted just thinking about all she needs to do for both kid's birthdays in the next week.
