Good Free App of The Day: Endless Reader - friendly monsters help you learn sight words

Looking to make learning sight words fun and more meaningful with some help from a gang of friendly monsters? Endless Reader from Originator is a fabulous FREE app that makes learning sight words interactive, provides engaging activities and connects children to meaningful content. Many children with special needs and learning challenges need to have a word connect to its meaning through watching the word in action. This app allows children to make a powerful connection each time they encounter a sight word.

If you would like to download Endless Reader (Free, iPad/iPhone), please support Smart Apps for Special Needs by using our link:

***Only an app's developer can control when an app is free.  All apps that we post as free are verified to be free at the time of the post.  We make no guarantees otherwise.***

This app does have in-app purchases to buy more content, but there is enough for free to be a fun app without a purchase. External links to share on YouTube and social media.

I love Endless Reader because kids don't just get a fun animation with a sight word, but a sentence puzzle with a descriptive animation. The sentence puzzles are fun and make learning a new concept exciting through movement and music. The user is asked to drag the words to the matching outline in the sentence creating an kinetic interaction. The puzzles also provide a sensory break. Children are rewarded for their good work with great sounds and a confetti of stars!

Tip: For children who may be sensitive to sound or music, you may want to turn down the volume before turning on this app!

As a follow-up to Endless Alphabet, set the stage for early reading success with Endless Reader! This

app introduces "sight words", the most commonly used words in school, library, and children's books. Kids need to recognize these words by sight in order to achieve reading fluency. Recognizing sight words is advantageous for beginning readers because many of these words have unusual spelling, cannot be sounded out using phonics knowledge, and often cannot be represented using pictures.

Kids will have a blast learning sight words and their context and usage with the adorable Endless monsters. Each word features an interactive word puzzle with letters

that come alive, and then a sentence puzzle with words that become what they describe. See the word "dog" as a barking dog, and the word "up" reach for the sky!

** NOTE: You must be online and have sufficient disk space while running the app to get all words in the app. **

- 6 words free to try with additional word packs available for purchase. Even more Reader Packs will be available for purchase in the future.
- Delightful animations reinforce sight recognition of words in a fun and interactive way.
- Word puzzles reinforce spelling using lower-case letters and the sentence puzzles teach definition and usage (in addition to sight recognition).
- Endless Reader was designed with your children in mind. There are no high scores, failures, limits or stress. Your children can interact with the app at their own pace.

Tamara Kaldor loves reading with her clients and is always looking for all things involving music and friendly monsters!
