Updated: Math apps for teens working at a lower level

As new apps become available, we want to make sure our lists stay up to date. We started this math list back in September of 2013, and I was amazed at how many math apps have become available since then. Many people have asked for recommendations for their teenagers who work at a primary level. Here is the updated list with a variety of math apps which aren't too little-kid like.

There are a lot of early math concept apps that are decorated with cute monkey pictures, or images that you would associate with a young child. Teenagers may not necessarily take to that kind of interface, but still need those foundational skills. The following list of apps came from a discussion on our Facebook page and include recommendations by our readers and staff.

Please support Smart Apps for Special Needs by using our AppStore buttons located with each app.

** Please note: Some of these apps have in-app purchases, but they can easily be disabled in the settings of your device. There are also ads and social network links in some of these apps.
Only the app's developer can control when an app is free or not. All apps that we post as free are verified to be free at the time of this post. We make no guarantees otherwise.**

Make sure to check out our list of math apps offered from McGraw Hill. McGraw-Hill publishes educational textbooks as well as educational apps. To make it easier on our readers, we wanted to list them all in one, easy to find collection.
The list contains apps which focus on addition, subtraction, fractions, even some with a baseball theme.
