I am the type of person that doesn't just make a plan but writes up 4 backup plans just in case. With my son's Asperger's diagnosis I learned there are many things you can't plan for as a parent. Just because I didn't have plans that included Asperger's doesn't mean I can't make them now. Just like when I make plans for a sunny day and it ends up raining, I'm learning the best thing to do is let it rain and make plans which include it. I've learned to get out and dance in the rain with my kids.
Rachel H's favorite memory from college was kicking off her shoes with her friends and splashing and dancing in the rain during a surprise summer storm.
