Sharing, saving and printing photos can be so easy with the FREE Shutterfly app

Shutterfly for iPhone The invention of the smartphone has done amazing things for photographically documenting every minute of our lives. All we need to do is pull out our phone, and click. The moment is then saved for eternity, or at least until we have no storage left on our phone. I admit, I used to keep photos in my digital camera forever, or until I needed them for something. I rarely plugged the camera into my computer to upload the copious number of images. This habit changed greatly when I had children and needed photos more often. I made a point to download pictures at least once a month. However, now that I have the Shutterfly app all I have to do is click on my photos and they are saved to my online Shutterfly account forever.

If you would like to download Shutterfly (FREE, iPad/ iPhone), please support Smart Apps for Special Needs by clicking this link:

External links go to users social media accounts as well as email and To purchase photos etc, the user will have to input their credit card information at the end of the order process.

I have tried various photo saving and sharing sites over the years and have come to love the quality and easy to use format that Shutterfly offers. By visiting, users create an account that seamlessly syncs with the app on their phone. Photos can be uploaded through the app or through the computer. The app has the capabilities to sync with other social media accounts such as Facebook and Instagram as well.

The app has a multitude of features to make photo life easier. From the app photographers can order or share prints in a variety of sizes as well as created a multitude of photo gifts. The app also displays special offers to help the purchaser save money. One week there was a code for 101 free prints! The app will tell the user how many new photos are available on the device for uploading each time Shutterfly is opened.

Shutterfly does not just offer ordering photo prints. There is a large photo store full of gifts, prints, canvases For larger projects like calendars, photo books, or poster size prints photos can be uploaded through the app but these projects must be completed on the website.

It is free to have a Shutterfly account and the app is free, too. Print prices vary, but deals are almost always available. There is also the option to have prints shipped or have them printed at local retailers. It really works! While on a trip to New York City with my mom and sisters for Mother's Day we decided to gift my mom with a memory from the trip. We uploaded our photo through the app, ordered it and picked it up at a local drug store hours later.

If you're looking for an easy way to manage photos and keep prints of priceless memories, I really like the capabilities of Shutterfly. I especially how easy it is to go between mobile and desktop versions. I'm always on the lookout for something new and would love to hear if you have found a photo app you enjoy!
