The developer has included nearly every feature I appreciate in a therapy app. There's data collection, user profiles, customization options... the new interface and organization is also well done.
Sentence Builder for Special Needs Children Is a great addition to the app store, for a very reasonable price--the regular price of $4.99 is half the price of a normal low-cost app for therapy. And it's just gone FREE, making it a must-download!
from iTunes:
The app is designed for special needs children. We worked closely with many SLP to get their input and feedbacks on both content and user interface.
The users can also created their own sentences, add their own words and images.
The app supports unlimited user accounts and the detail progress report for each user.
You can sync customized content, user account, etc among other iPads in your classroom.
The content and design are teacher approved content.
Features:
•Sentences
•Sight Words
•Vocabulary
•Grammars
•Punctuation
•Pronunciation
•Teacher approved content
•Two different levels
•Kindergarten
•First Grade
•Second Grade
Students can move the words around to build the sentence themselves. Start with the built-in sentences, then create your own sentences, use your own images, and use your voice to record your own sentences and words. Each word can be clicked for the sound of the word, and words can be rearranged to make a proper sentence.
This app is ideal for self-paced learning or home schooling. It teaches kids grammar, sentence structure, and develops their listening skills.
This game is is like having a private tutor to teach your child one on one.

•The app includes two built-in levels and self created sentences

•Level two is designed for first grade and second grade students
