The Value of Visuals

I found a great new blog today! Isn't that tagline perfect? "Using visuals to enhance the emotional, social and academic success of children with intellectual disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder."

Read on to learn more!

Most parents, special educators and therapists who work with children with intellectual disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder know that visuals are important. But if I were to take a poll, I'd bet at least 50% of us reading have worked with someone else who thought visuals were a waste of time.

So far in this new blog, Jen has provided examples, reasoning and even links to other resources. This is a blog I now have bookmarked, and plan on using some information to share with teachers in the new school year. Thanks for creating it, Jen!
