Happy Mealtimes with Happy Kids: a book to teach your children the joy of food (there's a CD too)

Do mealtimes mean anxiety in your house? I can relate. My daughter was a very picky eater and I often dreaded extended family dinners. Well-meaning loved ones frequently asked, "Is that all she's going to eat?" She has come a long way since those days.

I was fortunate to have a background in feeding issues and some good friends with even more expertise. Looking for some help? A speech-language pathologist named Melanie Potock, has written a wonderful resource for parents. Happy Mealtimes with Happy Kids:How to Teach Your Child About the Joy of Food is a guidebook for families full of practical tips and strategies. Follow Melanie on her blog, My Munch Bug to learn more.

If you would like to order Happy Mealtimes with Happy Kids, it is available on Amazon here for $18.95 (currently $17.06, 10% off for a limited time).

In addition to the book, Potock has collaborated with musician Joan Huntsberry Langford to create a CD of children's songs about the fun of food. Dancing in the Kitchen is a delightful CD with 11 catchy songs all about the joy of food. Purchase the CD here for $13.95 or download the album for $9.00.  Songs can also be downloaded individually for $0.99.

Dancing is about the only thing Sarah can do in the kitchen. She is lucky that her husband is such a good cook!
