The Kid Should See This: Awesome website of educational videos "not made for kids, but perfect for them"

I absolutely love using videos in speech therapy. Check out my favorite YouTube channels for young children here. I know many parents, myself included, worry about some of the content on YouTube. It's pretty easy to stumble upon something completely inappropriate for little eyes and ears. That is why I'm so excited about a free website called The Kid Should See This. Founder and editor, Rion Nakaya, and her children have created a library of fun and educational videos that were "not made for kids, but perfect for them". The site is organized by topics including: science, technology, space, animals, nature, DIY and more. Eight to twelve new videos are posted each week (sign up for email alerts here) or browse through more than 1,700+ videos in the archives.

From the website:

The internet is full of amazing content…

Sometimes it’s just challenging to find it! TKSST helps connect busy kids, parents, & teachers with a collection of short videos that can start conversations, spark questions, & inspire offline exploration for all ages.

What kind of videos are on this site?

Our video selections are driven by wonder, enthusiasm, and “wow!” moments. We cover all topics under and beyond our sun, with a special focus on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, & math) topics. Start browsing our main navigation, find related topic tags below every video, or search the site for specific content.

Sarah is excited about her plans for a long weekend getaway, but is not excited about packing for it.
