Hour of Code: Learn code this week with the Top Ten FREE apps!

Screen Shot 2014-12-08 at 10.15.15 PMIt's Computer Science Education Week, and there's a global movement for tens of millions of students to learn to code this week. There are free online resources, and of course, free apps, designed just for helping kids learn code. I wrote about one last week, with ScratchJr. There are more, too, so download them all and figure out which your child enjoys more! Coding is all about having fun with programming, and your kids are probably not too young to start now.

With ScratchJr, young children (ages 5-7) learn important new skills as they program their own interactive stories and games. By snapping together graphical programming blocks, children can make characters move, jump, dance, and sing.
